Uma Beanie

The magical Uma Beanie is a soft, natural and beautiful friend for life.

It is a tribute to authentic craftsmanship, made entirely from scratch. The raw wool is hand carted, and the yarns are locally spun & knitted. Playing only with the original colors from the animals, it is mixed from the finest materials from different sheep, alpacas and the samojede dog, whose fibers give a soft glow beyond beauty. The limited yarns are made exclusively by our inhouse yarn magician, and every piece is unique. This one is mainly in grey tones with spots of nut brown colour and fluffs of white.

The Beanie is onesize.

Airing: Let the woolen item lie indoors or outdoors on a chair, bed or place where air can circulate after use. Damp air (in the bathroom) is fine, as is fresh air, however the bedroom is also fine. Air is more effective than both water and detergent in removing sweat odors from wool. If you do need to wash, keep the following in mind.

Hand wash: Put your woolen wear in a bowl with lukewarm water (preferable a lot of water) and one drop of wool washing liquid.

Move the wool clothing gently in the water so that water and detergent flows through the material and the fibers don't shrink or felt. Scoop the wool clothing from underneath with your hands with your fingers spread out, so the water drains through – the less you wring or in other ways stress the wool, the better. Press your hands together so the water is pressed out. Then rinse properly a couple of times. Use the same temperature for washing and rinsing and don´t wring the wool. To remove excess water you can lay the sweater in a towel and then roll it to a sausage and press it gently. Lay it flat on a towel to dry in a warm place.

100% natural fibers: Wool, Alpaca, sometimes Samojede.
