Laura & Camilla
Isolated together
Founders of ISOLÈE CREATIVE Laura & Camilla sharing their thoughts on why cultural heritage and history are important as visual storytellers. And why they call themselves Isolée.
We have given them `carte blanche` to portrait some of our favourite pieces for this season through their visual touch.

Friendship and work-marriage
"Our friendship was quite young before ISOLÈE CREATIVE. Despite the seven-year age gap between us, our conversations have always been meaningful, with a shared sense of humour and similar viewpoints. We discovered common grounds in key life choices."

Isolation
"Both of us live far from friends, family and our hometowns, due to our relationships. Adjusting to this distance has been a process. We are both very social beings and highly attached to our families, so this experience has taught us a lot about ourselves.
ISOLÉE actually means ISOLATION in French. A word which is often associated with a negative feeling, but it also creates a room for growth. Being “isolated”, the word being used in the most positive way, gave us the courage to pursue what we really wanted to do - and that was how ISOLÉE CREATIVE was born."

History
“My background in art history enhances my work as a photographer and visual storyteller by strenghthening my understanding of composition, light, and color. It allows me to incorporate a cultural context, adding depth to the visual narratives.”

“What I appreciate most about my background as a historian is the ability to perceive historical events as part of a larger perspective. Being able to understand a period in relation to overall societal dynamics, relevant to a given time - how specific moments fit into the greater flow of human experience. We are all part of a continuous stream of development. Every event, experienced by the people who were here before us, was
essential in shaping our society, helping us gain a deeper understanding of our place in history. It has taught me to contextualize. And i use that way of thinking in our work.”

Storytellers with purpose
"We believe that every brand has its own unique narrative shaped by its context and cultural significance.
By examining the broader dynamics at play, we strive to craft stories that resonate deeply with audiences."

"Branding and storytelling are developing like everything else around us. We have high demands as consumers - As we should have. Navigating in a world of over-consuming and sneaky algorithms, there is a need for authentic behaviour and deeper storytelling.
In our work we strive to achieve cultural depth and timeless elegance. Aligning perfectly with Proem Parades narrative, in our opinion.
We need to change the way we perceive fashion and trends. It takes time to change deep rooted discourses but we will hopefully get there someday."
